In-and-Out Fraud Cost Taxpayers Over $2.3 Million

Glen McGregor and Stephen Maher report in the Ottawa Citizen that the In-and-Out finance fraud perpetrated by the Conservative Party of Canada during the 2006 campaign has cost taxpayers over 2,300,000 dollars. The fraud was perpetrated so that the federal conservative party could receive 230,000 dollars in reimbursements, one-tenth the cost of prosecution of the crimes. The Conservatives pled guilty and were fined 52,000 dollars.
